Vintage Melissa Musical Compact – exceptional condition and music in working order

Unusual and rare vintage “Melissa” musical compact with a swallows and rushes decorated front. Bright and shiny gold-tone metal showing minimal wear, it has a wind-up music box that is in working order, a steel mirror in great condition, and a powder screen with a small felt cover showing a stamped crown in gold. The powder screen is in good condition–no rips, tears or holes and a slight amount of loose powder remains. At approx. 2 l/4″ long by 3 l/4″ wide, it is definitely a winner and ready to grace your vintage vanity item collection.
